As reported by BoxingScene, the PBC Heavyweight roster was bolstered today by being the latest to throw their hat into the promotional circus ring that has been Luis Ortiz’ career.

From fighting to get out Golden Boy, to a fight by fight contract with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom, to the Al Haymon’s PBC brand, Luis Ortiz has not gotten the fights he wants. Haymon can certainly give him fresh faces in fights with the likes of Dominic Brazeale, Amir Mansour, and Gerald Washington, but of course the big fight Ortiz will want would be against Deyontay Wilder. I doubt Haymon will be too interested in that fight until Ortiz is clearly past it, but we will see.
Rumor has it that Hayman may be lining up a stay busy fight for Ortiz against journeyman Derric Rossy on the April 22nd Andre Berto/Shawn Porter at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn before finding him a larger fight in the summer.
