In what is good news for American fight fans, all four middleweight titles will now be defended in legal to watch broadcasts. The much anticipated three belt GGG versus Canelo nightcap now has an additional appetizer in the form of Billy Joe Saunders’s WBO defense against New York’s Willie Monroe.
My one complaint here is that I expect this fight to be pretty bad. It just doesn’t look like a good stylistic match on paper. I wish we were getting Callum Smith and Erik Skoglund instead, but beggars and choosers I suppose. A full preview for both major UK fights will be up on Thursday.
The show is scheduled to begin at about 5:30 Eastern on Youtube and and also feature the co-main event, I think. The wording in the press release is obviously messed up, but that is how I am interpreting it. If I am right, that means Anthony Yarde takes on Norbert Nemesapati before the main event.
