We have a few fights to add to the rest of the year’s schedule. Two fights have been added to the PBC shows on October 14th while Dmitry Bivol will defend his WBA title on HBO’s Boxing After Dark on November 4th. No Earth shattering stuff here, but fights nonetheless.

On October 14th, PBC will have a late afternoon tripleheader on FOX headlined by Leo Santa Cruz and Abner Mares in separate fights. That show now has its opener as well as PBC on FS1 veteran prospect Eddie Ramirez (17-0, 11 KOs) will try to get a known name on his resume in former world titleholder Antonio DeMarco (32-6-1, 23 KOs). DeMarco is faded a bit, but he still represents by far the biggest name opponent Ramirez will have been in with.
Later that night on Showtime, PBC is bringing a junior middleweight title tripleheader featuring defenses from Erislandy Lara, Jermell Charlo, and Jarrett Hurd. While I don’t see how it could possibly make television, we can had Tony Harrison (24-2, 20 KOs) to the bill now. He will be returning from his February knockout loss to Jarrett Hurd, a fight he was winning at the time of the finish against him, against little known Mexican Paul Valenzuela Jr (20-5, 14 KOs) in what is definitely a get well fight.
Finally, on November 4th, red hot Russian light heavyweight prospect Dmitry Bivol (11-0, 10 KOs) will get a shot at the newly vacated WBA light heavyweight title. With Badou Jack vacating and Andre Ward retiring, this will suddenly be their only belt in the division and a legitimate world title. Unfortunately, he is not getting tested in this fight. Unknown Australian Trent Broadhurst (20-1, 12 KOs) will get the title opportunity too for some reason. His loss was a knockout to Robert Berridge. Not a good matchup here. HBO will broadcast on Boxing After Dark nonetheless, despite the fight taking place overseas in Monte Carlo.
