A decent Toe-To-Toe Tuesday airs tonight on its usual FS1 home. In its main event, two unbeaten prospects will go head to head in the featherweight division in Cuba’s Leduan Barthelemy and Eddie Ramirez of Mexico. Barthelemy is the younger brother of two division titlist Rances Barthelemy.

Leduan Barthelemy (13-0, 7 KOs), younger brother of both top pro Rances Barthelemy and former amateur star Yan Barthelemy, has been a bit of a mixed bag as a prospect so far. On the positive side he has developed some pop from range using his giant six foot featherweight frame, having stopped four of his last six opponents. Conversely, the only time he has stepped up in class, he struggled his way to a decision that he didn’t deserve against Ricardo Nuñez. While Nuñez is a two time title challenger, that was three weight classes down at flyweight.
Eduardo Ramirez (20-0-2, 7 KOs) doesn’t have the Cuban pedigree or the Barthelemy name, but he is just as undefeated. Really he is more so as Leduan should have the one loss. The 24 year old doesn’t have anything notable on his resume, but he has a pair of wins against previously unbeaten guys with established records. Ramirez is more or less entering this bout as a somewhat unknown domestic Mexican scene prospect. On paper, at least, this looks like an even matchup given that Barthelemy does not seem to be a blue chipper.
Unfortunately the undercard is completely lacking any level of known fighters. Junior lightweights Alejandro Salinas (8-1, 8 KOs) and Duarn Vue (12-0-2, 4 KOs) and full lightweights Bryan Figueroa (12-0, 5 KOs) and Ivan Jimenez (7-0-1, 4 KOs) round it out. I know nothing about these guys.
The show starts at 9 PM Eastern on FS1.
