With Bermane Stiverne promoted to the main event November 4th against Deontay Wilder, Dominic Breazeale was in need of a new opponent. This is no longer the case as fellow American contender Eric Molina has stepped in. The fight will be broadcast on Showtime Extreme prior to the main card.

For who they are, this is a pretty great fight. Neither of these guys are ever going to beat one of the top few heavyweights, but they both fight with fan friendly styles and should make for a fun heavyweight slugfest. Dominic Breazeale (18-1, 16 KOs) last fought in February, stopping Izuagbe Ugonoh in five after both fighters had tasted the canvas. Eric Molina (26-4, 19 KOs) last fought in an easy six rounder in September.
Both fighters were stopped by Anthony Joshua two fights ago, Breazeale in seven and Molina in three. Molina has also been stopped by Deontay Wilder, but he also has the best win between the two over Tomasz Adamek.
These two guys are offensively minded with power and not much defense. Breazeale has shown the better chin. He is slower too though. Heavyweight fights always have an element of randomness to them, but this one is almost certainly going to be fun. Showtime Extreme will have the broadcast before the main card on Showtime.
