In the co-main event to Errol Spence Jr’s homecoming fight in Texas, Danny Roman outpointed Moises Flores in defense of his WBA super bantamweight title. It was an entertaining but one sided fight.
First, Moises Flores (25-1, 17 KOs) showed a tremendous amount of heart and grit in going twelve rounds here. He more than made up for missing weight with his effort in the ring tonight. Unfortunately for Flores though, his consistent twelve round effort wasn’t even close to enough to get the victory. Danny Roman (25-2-1, 9 KOs) cruised to victory tonight.
It was simply an outclassing. Danny Roman slipped and ripped for all twelve rounds. His body attack was merciless and delivered at a eye raising volume. Moises took it, fought back, and even landed nice shots here and there, but he didn’t win rounds with any consistency. On my card he didn’t win any at all. Official cards came back with a shut out paired with 118-110 and a 116-112. I don’t know where you find four rounds for Moises Flores, but whatever. The right man got the win.
Post-fight Danny asked or unification and listed the other titleholders for call outs.
