As I am sure all regulars have noticed, there has been a lack of coverage of the sport this weekend. Don’t worry. Standing Eight Count is not going anywhere in the short term. This website is a one man band so to speak. Overall I love the freedom this provides, but it does have its downsides. The main drawback is what happens to the site when I suddenly don’t have time to write. It stops completely.
Fortunately, all that has gotten in my way is a physical move and the issues that come with that. When I tried to cover the fights this weekend, Charter/Spectrum was having issues with their system and I couldn’t watch them. With content already having been light with the slow move, not being able to see the fights live this weekend, and the bulk of the physical movement coming in the next couple days, I have decided to just notify everyone that I will be taking a brief break instead of continuing to half ass the site.
S8C should be up and running again in time for Canelo-Fielding this weekend. I will also post brief recaps for at least the Kell Brook and Lomachenko-Pedraza cards as well to have them for when people search in the future, but that won’t be for a few days.
